So You Have Questions? Let's try to answer some
What's the difference between an "App" and a "Web App"?
The main difference is that an "app" (which is just short for application, is specifically coded in the language of the mobile Operating System (i.e Apple's and Android's OS's) and run locally on the device, with access to other services the device has to offer. A "web app" is an application that is accessed over a network such as the Internet. It is an app that is hosted in a browser-controlled environment (e.g. a Java applet) or coded in a browser-supported language (such as JavaScript, combined with a browser-rendered markup language like HTML) and reliant on a common web browser to render the application executable. Web apps are popular due to the ubiquity of web browsers, and the convenience of using a web browser as a client. The ability to update and maintain web applications without distributing and installing software on potentially thousands of client computers is a key reason for their popularity, as is the inherent support for cross-platform compatibility.

How is this different than a regular site?
A mobile site differs from a "regular" site in many ways, mainly in format. A mobile site is formatted for smaller screens which re-arranges content for easier viewing. It is also optimized for touch input.
Can my "regular" site and my mobile site coexist?
Of course they can! When you browse to your site from a mobile device, the site will automatically detect that you are using a mobile device and adjust accordingly. Or we can set up a sub-directory (e.g. www.mysite.com/mobile) for the mobile version.
